These first few weeks back to school have started out strong, and I'm happy to be back with all of my peers. I have always enjoyed the routine of school, and this year is no different, as the heavier workload has allowed me to schedule my time with intention for each time of day. With the addition of the workload, however, there is always the addition of stress and limited time to myself, but I believe that is something all high schoolers have become accustomed to. I have been relieved to see that most of my classes are on the rigorous levels that I am used to, but there is, as expected, the class that I just know is going to give me a rough time this year. I am sure that I will be able to overcome the class with more focus on the subject in particular, it's just a daunting way to start the year. I have already started a very small amount of research on my topic, anesthesiology, and I am already very excited to see what comes from my research this year. One topic I am particularly enthusiastic to learn about is anesthesia awareness, or when a patient can feel and hear every event around them during surgery but can show no signs of this to the operators performing on said patient.
