About ISM

Frisco ISD's ISM program is a rigorous course for which students must apply, interview, and be recommended for their junior or senior year of high school. In this program, high-achieving students focus on a topic of their choice and pursue research opportunities.

Students in the ISM program document their findings, from their interviews with potential mentors to observations that they find in their internship. ISM helps to build soft skills, presentation skills, and goal-setting values in each of its students. By the end of the school year, each ISM student has a large amount of gained knowledge on not only their choice of study but also "real-world" experience.
